This Wisconsin Football staff and many other programs have been keeping a close eye on one of the more compelling 2027 recruits. The Ohio native Brayton Feisterquarterback and linebacker for Archbishop Hobanimpressed last season with his dominance on both sides of the ball. Feister dominated as a running back and showed his versatility, but he really put himself on the map with his defensive play.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 215 pounds, Feister is also a talented wrestler, but currently has no plans to continue his college education. When asked about wrestling, Feister stated, “As much as I love it, unfortunately no, I plan on focusing on football for my college career.”

As a fellow wrestler, Coach Fickell is someone Feister idolizes, as he stated, “I’m a huge wrestler, so I’m a huge fan of Coach Fickell, so that offer meant a lot to me.” Feister also stated that the offer from Wisconsin was “crazy.”

The athlete is known for his work in the gym, where he lifted a maximum of 325 pounds on the bench and 475 pounds in the squat.

For Feister, the recruiting process began early, as did his thoughts about what he wanted in his future sorority home. When asked what he wanted in a college, Feister stated, “I’m looking for a place with tradition, a place where winning is a big factor, but preparing guys for the next level is an even bigger factor.”

The athlete also added that “…the way the coaches and players interact” is also a major factor in his college decision. The Wisconsin football staff really loves Feister’s attitude and style of play, and the staff wants to build a relationship with the recruit early on.

For the Wisconsin staff, Feister is someone they see as someone who does a little bit of everything for the team. This past season, Feister really proved his worth on the field and also proved he has another level of versatility in the positions he plays.

As a running back, Feister can either drop his shoulder and run over opposing defenders or cut and fly past them. Perhaps the best aspect of his running game is the high-octane running style he brings to the field. Feister pushes through multiple defenders to extend runs and never stops pumping his legs until the whistle blows to end the play.

As a linebacker, Feister is a dominant tackler with excellent field vision, even when he’s running at full speed. His tenacity and high motor translate to the defense, where the rookie is nearly impossible to pass when he’s in range.
