Even when the game was essentially out of reach, Nixon never lost his intensity. In the final quarter, McCaffrey, trailing by three touchdowns, snapped a streak that would have been a significant gain had it not been for Nixon. Green Bay’s versatile corner never gave up on the play, chasing McCaffrey into a tackle and knocking the ball away in the process. Defensive lineman Karl Brooks, who also showed great commitment to the play, recovered the ball. Aside from the forced fumble, Nixon had a solid day of reporting.
