Packers ‘very concerned’ about Jordan Love’s injury, but will wait for further tests

In an interview with Packers Radio Network, Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he is “very concerned” about the injury that quarterback Jordan Love suffered during Friday night’s season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but the team is still waiting for further tests.

The game took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, so Love and the Packers have a 10-hour flight back to Green Bay where further evaluation of the injury may be performed.

LaFleur spoke with Larry McCarren of the Packers Radio Network following the 34-29 loss to the Eagles.

“I don’t know. We’re waiting. Obviously we’re very concerned about it. We’ll wait until we know when we do more testing,” LaFleur said.

Love was injured on a pass to Josh Jacobs in the third over of the game, getting hit in the side of his left leg, near the knee, and his left foot was caught under a mass of bodies.

Love needed assist getting off the court, so Jacobs and a trainer helped him back to the locker room.

When asked about the injury at the post-game press conference, LaFleur only replied, “I don’t know.”

“We don’t know how bad his injury is, but we hope he’s OK,” Jacobs said.
