The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP), founded by Texan Dr. James Kroll, has drawn rave reviews from landowners in its 10th year.
These positive comments from those enrolled in the program can be tied to a statement on the DNR website: “Landowners who enroll in the DMAP program receive numerous resources to help them improve habitat for deer and other wildlife on their lands.”
Now, 10 years later, some deer hunters wonder who pays for this “wealth of resources.”
