Wisconsin Review: Creator of citizen wolf count Facebook page hopes photos, videos will facilitate DNR track and count wolves

Bear hunters who haven’t heard of a recent Facebook page that tracks wolves on bear baits may want to search for Wisconsin Citizen Wolf Count. The page was started by Corky Meyer of Washington County, a former president and longtime member of the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation.
When this issue arrives in your mailbox, the site will have been live for about two weeks, but it’s already full of photos and videos of wolves visiting bear traps. Meyer asks hunters to post the names of the cities and counties where the traps are located, so he can sort and compare the wolves in the photos and maybe even provide the DNR with a wolf tally.
