The Milwaukee Brewers have a lot to be ecstatic about with how the 2024 MLB season has gone so far. They currently sit atop the NL Central and look to be on pace to finish the season mighty with just a few games left to play.
Jackson Chourio is one of the standout players who have helped the Brewers rise to the top. The 20-year-old outfielder has been phenomenal since breaking into the starting lineup, and his excellent batting and running have quickly become top priorities for opposing Major League managers.
His performances in his first season with The Show have already left many Brewers fans excited about the team’s future. To make matters better, he accomplished something in his rookie campaign that will go down in league history.
Jackson Chourio of the Milwaukee Brewers became the youngest player to hit 20 home runs and steal 20 bases in a single season
Chourio was one of the most impressive players in the last game of the Brewers’ three-game series against the San Francisco Giants. Although he struck out just once in his four runs at the plate, he capitalized on it by hitting a two-RBI home run to right field to seal the Brewers’ 3-0 victory, clinching the series 2-1.
While that homerun was impressive in itself, it made him the youngest player in the game’s long history to hit at least 20 homeruns and steal 20 bases in a single season.
The Brewers celebrated the occasion on social media:

Chourio had phenomenal season with the Milwaukee Brewers. His .272 batting average is respectable for a rookie, and his .325 OBP and .466 slugging percentage give fans plenty of reason to be excited about his future.
Considering he has been with the team for at least eight seasons, fans will be thrilled to see him develop into an elite hitter that the team can count on for years to come.
