A Look into the Future: Is Technology Corrupting the Angler’s Instinct?

An evergreen tree, a winding point, and a water tower are all the romance you need. I still remember looking at those things like it was yesterday. But yesterday was 30 years ago. That day I learned the most valuable aspect of fishing for the day; instinct.
GPS was still in its infancy, basic flashers provided depth, and finding fish was based on physical bait selection or “sixth sense.” Anglers perceived the water intuitively, simply by hoping and prodding at what was underneath.
