The Green Bay Packers entered Week 4 as a 2.5-point favorite over the Minnesota Vikings, according to the bookmakers’ odds. MGM Plant.
The line indicates that bookmakers believe Jordan Love will return from the two-game skid and start against the undefeated Vikings at Lambeau Field on Sunday.
The over/under is 43.5 points, which also suggests Love will return. The over/under for Packers-Titans last week was 37.
Love practiced on a confined basis all of last week but was inactive for Sunday’s win over the Titans. He will be more than three weeks back from injury by the time Sunday’s game begins. Malik Willis has started each of the past two weeks, including last Sunday’s dominant 30-14 win at Tennessee.
Unless the line changes, this week will be the first in which the Packers are favored this season. They were 2-point underdogs in Week 1 (at PHI), 2.5-point underdogs in Week 2 (against IND) and 3.0-point underdogs in Week 3 (at TEN). Matt LaFleur’s team has won two straight games as underdogs with Willis under center.
The Vikings have also won as underdogs in each of the last two weeks. They finished as underdogs to the 49ers by 4 points and underdogs to the Texans by 1.5 points.
Betting note: All three of the Vikings’ wins this season have come at under odds.
More information on Love’s game status may not be available until later this week. The Packers will release a preliminary injury report on Wednesday and a final injury report — with status designations — on Friday. It’s possible Love will be confined all week and questionable to play Friday.
