Lac du Flambeau Tribe announces walleye in Wisconsin’s Minocqua Range not to be kept

According to March 15 statements publicly released during the last week of April by the Wisconsin DNR, the Lac du Flambeau Tribe (LdF) announced its intention to harvest 1,288 walleye from the five-lake Minocqua Chain, which is in its eighth year of no walleye fishing.
Declarations for hundreds of lakes in the ceded territory detail fishing plans, primarily for walleye and muskie, for all six Chippewa tribes in northern Wisconsin.
