While the likelihood that a fresh fresh federal farm bill will be passed by the time the current law’s extension expires this fall is debatable, conservation groups have nevertheless expressed approval of the recent progress made on the title of the massive conservation bill.
On May 2, Delta Waterfowl issued a press release announcing that “the first important steps have been taken in the legislative process leading to the adoption of the new American Farm Bill…”. The announcement followed announcements by two key members of the U.S. House and Senate Agriculture Committees who presented their Farm Bill proposals.
