LeBron James has been playing in the NBA for over two decades. In other words, he’s seen it all. However, playing in a preseason road game against Milwaukee Bucks looks like he won’t love it once his legendary career comes to an end.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers star he complained openly on social media about his lack of interest in flying to Milwaukee for Thursday’s game against the Bucks.
“Can someone explain to me why we’re getting in the ✈️ and going to Milwaukee for one preseason game!?!?” four-time NBA Most Valuable Player posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Fans mock LeBron James for tirade about visiting Milwaukee Bucks
It didn’t take long for other users of the social media platform to flood the replies section to James’ post with all sorts of reactions.
“Hey LeBron, it’s Greg. This is because it would take over 29 hours to get there, so I’m guessing your coaches decided it would be more convenient to fly. I hope this helps. – @greg16676935420
“I believe that’s where the Bucks play if I’m not mistaken” @NetsMuse
“Probably because it’s a 29 hour drive” – @nickysmokess
“Uncle is too old for this unnecessary travel😭” – @knicks_union
“People are escaping a huge hurricane and this guy is complaining about his job” – @nftbadger
To be fair to James, preseason games are ultimately meaningless. Plus, from an individual standpoint, pre-season games won’t add much to his legacy. Still, it’s part of life in the NBA.
The Lakers are winless in two games in the 2024 NBA preseason. The Bucks, on the other hand, are 0-1 after a road loss to the Detroit Pistons last Sunday.
