The Brewers are back in the postseason after winning the National League Central title with a record of 93-69. This is the third time in four seasons that the Brewers have won the division title. However, they have failed to advance past the divisional round in each of their last four playoff appearances. Last season, Milwaukee was swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Wild Card round.
This time, Milwaukee will face the New York Mets in a wild-card series that begins next Tuesday at American Family Field. The Brewers defeated the Mets in two of three games in Milwaukee’s final regular-season series.
Freddy Peralta will start for the Brewers in the first game against the Mets, who will be pitching to Luis Severino.
