Tardy honesty leads to relaxed penalties in Wisconsin deer tagging case

The non-hunting father-in-law avoided the truth as long as possible in an attempt to protect his son-in-law, but ultimately the truth revealed that during opening weekend both men had committed “rental/borrowing license” violations for the 2022 Wisconsin deer season, 7-8 p.m. November, in Outagamie County.
In the end, the deer hunting son-in-law told the truth, which helped him receive a lighter punishment than he otherwise might have received.
