Three Milwaukee Brewers players have been nominated for Rawlings Gold Glove awards for their defensive efforts during the 2024 season. Second baseman Brice Turang, center fielder Blake Perkins and right fielder Sal Frelick are finalists. The winners will be announced on Sunday, November 3.

During the 2024 season, Brice Turang excelled at second base. He led Major League Baseball in the advanced defensive metric DRS (defensive runs saved) with 21. The next closest National League player in DRS was Ketel Marte with 10. Turang was also fifth in another advanced defensive metric titled OAA (outs above average). Ultimately, he made only seven mistakes. The other finalists were Ketel Marte of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Bryson Stott of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Along with Jacob Young of the Washington Nationals and Brenton Doyle of the Colorado Rockies, Blake Perkins is a Gold Glove finalist in 2024. Perkins finished worse in DRS (8) and OAA (11) than Young and Doyle.

Right fielder Sal Frelick is in the running for a Gold Glove. He competes with Mike Yastrzemski of the San Francisco Giants and Jake McCarthy of the Arizona Diamondbacks. With 700 qualifying innings pitched in right field, Frelick led the National League in DRS with 16 and tied with teammate Jackson Chourio in OAA with seven.
ESPN will announce the winners of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award on Sunday, November 3. The awards announcement will start at 7:30 p.m. (Polish time).
