Tandem Press and the UW-Madison Mead Witter School of Music Jazz Studies invite you to another season of the Tandem Press Friday Jazz Series, featuring students from the UW-Madison Mead Witter School of Music jazz studies program, led by Johannes Wallmann, John and Carolyn Peterson, Chair in Jazz Studies, with Dan Cavanagh, Emma Dayhuff, Arun Luthra and Nick Moran.
October 18, 2024: Jazz Standards Ensemble (dir. Arun Luthra) & the Contemporary Jazz Ensemble (dir. Dan Cavanagh)
November 8, 2024: Jazz Composers Group (conductor Arun Luthra) & Afro-Cuban Jazz Ensemble (conductor Nick Moran)
December 6, 2024: Creative Music Ensemble (dir. Emma Dayhuff) and Blue Note Ensemble (dir. Johannes Wallmann)
*Please note that the concerts take place on the second floor of Tandem Press, which can only be accessed by stairs. The Tandem gallery and studio on the ground floor are wheelchair accessible. During each concert, a TV with live broadcast is set up in the studio for guests who cannot enter the second floor of the building. Contact us for more information.
