Both steelhead and trout are bottom-feeding, especially in the chilly spring waters. If your prey is not a few centimeters off the bottom, you are less likely to hit it. Unfortunately, the bottom is also a place where you can get caught. If you don’t get hooked, you won’t catch a fish.
