Both Rust twins are talented players in the 2027 recruiting class and are players coaches have their eyes on. Both brothers currently have scholarship offers from FAU and both are receiving significant interest from the Wisconsin football team. The Badgers staff is working to land the duo before other schools start watching Barbara Goleman’s high school film.

The Wisconsin football staff believes the duo is still largely unknown and wants to make sure they can establish at least solid relationships with recruits before other schools become involved.

Kingston is currently considered one of the top point guards in the 2027 recruiting class. Christian is considered a top wide receiver and has received camp invites for potential five-star recruits. Christian is also an outstanding defensive back who has the infrequent opportunity to play either position at the collegiate level.

For the Wisconsin football staff, beating Penn State would be a huge boost both on and off the field.

Wisconsin is currently on the verge of making the rankings, receiving three votes last week to enter the top 25 schools in the country. With a win over third-ranked Penn State, Wisconsin would certainly creep into the rankings with a 6-2 record and a rise in the Big Ten Conference standings. The Badgers will defeat the Nittany Lions to move ahead of the team in the rankings competition.

Off the field, however, the Wisconsin football staff hopes to win or put on a competitive performance to impress current recruits. For the Rust brothers, the game is like a double visit, and Penn State is a program with intriguing ties to the brothers. Four-star freshman Cam Rust, a standout on the Penn State women’s basketball team, is the sister of twin brothers.

While it’s unclear whether Penn State’s football staff was affiliated with either brother, the team’s future offer could be of great importance. With the brothers being given a place to watch the Nittany Lions, the importance of playing well in Wisconsin is huge.

Often, schools only have one real chance to show recruits what the stadium setting looks like. Wisconsin’s recruiting staff will need to ensure the stadium is full and recruits can fully enjoy Madison during the upcoming game.
