The Natural Resources Board (NRB) has adopted rules for the 2023 waterfowl season that are almost identical to those for the 2022 waterfowl season, except that the division between hunting groups has raised questions about how early to start Canada geese hunting on the Mississippi River.
The DNR proposed a proposed framework, with only one significant change from last year – opening the Canada Goose Zone on the Mississippi River on Sept. 16 instead of opening it later with duck season in the South Zone.
