NBA fans have mixed feelings after seeing the Milwaukee Bucks title window

After winning a ring in 2021, Milwaukee Bucks fans were hoping to repeat their championship streak. However, after several failed attempts, questions were raised as to whether Giannis Antetokounmpo and company could win another one in the shortest possible time.

Bucks, fresh off a challenging 2024 season, they are getting ready for the 2024–25 NBA campaign. After winning the championship in 2021, the team has had to exit the playoffs prematurely in recent years due to injuries and inconsistency. They made headlines last season by trading away star point guard Damian Lillard, but team and coaching issues led to the mid-season firing of Adrian Griffin and Doc Rivers taking over.

This season, the Bucks will rely on their core players: Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez. Staying robust will be key as the team looks to regain its status as a title contender. While Lillard brings offensive firepower, Jrue Holiday’s departure has raised concerns about the team’s defensive capabilities.

To strengthen their lineup, the Bucks signed several key veterans, including Taurean Prince and Gary Trent Jr. However, the loss of experienced role players could impact their depth. Rookies Tyler Smith and AJ Johnson may not make significant contributions right away, but they have the potential for future development.

NBA TV recently shared a post on his official X account questioning whether Milwaukee’s title window has already closed. This prompted fans to share their thoughts on the matter.

“As long as Giannis is there,” Buckz_prod said.

“I hope Lillard’s career doesn’t turn into Westbrook’s after OKC. They need good free agency or a trade. The most common mistake for teams like Milwaukee is to get a third big contract as an overpayment (like Phoenix did for Bradley Beal),” said KennyS.

“They just have to be healthy, without any weird injuries,” McBurner3000 replied.

“We’ll just act like Dame wasn’t broken before his Achilles injury. Additionally, Khris Middleton was undoubtedly the best player in this series with two bad ankles and a sprained knee. They will be legal as long as they stay robust,” Dru wrote on Twitter.

“It has been closed,” HelaTribe wrote.

“This could extend next offseason with some big contracts being waived,” explains Dave Rau.

“It is closed after the upcoming season. They are in or out of the championship now,” Toby replied.

“With the loss of Jrue Holiday, the championship streak is over,” GM concluded.

WITH projected record 44-38The Bucks are expected to finish around sixth in the Eastern Conference, hoping to bounce back from their previous playoff disappointment. The synergy between Lillard and Giannis will be key as both players look to improve their game together.

If they can overcome past obstacles and stay healthy, the Bucks could make a significant playoff push in 2025 as they look to regain championship glory. Otherwise, we’re in for a lot of disappointment after all the franchise has done to compete.
