Wisconsin food brands for your holiday meal

It’s challenging to believe, but the holiday season is already behind us. As you prepare to gather around the Thanksgiving table, it’s easier than ever to support farmers in your area. At Gather Wisconsin, we’ve prepared a special list of Wisconsin food brands that you can include when planning your menu.

Turkey

Did you know that one of the most recognizable brands of turkeys, Jennie-Osources some of its turkeys from Wisconsin? The Jennie-O brand, available at grocery chains statewide, also offers a variety of resources to facilitate you plan your vacation online, including tips for cooking a whole turkey AND information regarding safety when handling food to make sure your dinner guests are safe and sound and cheerful!

Cranberries

Nothing says Wisconsin like cranberries on the table. Wisconsin cranberries are used in thousands of products with: various enterprises and breeders statewide. Wisconsin is the national leader in cranberry production. Even one of the most notable cranberry brands, Ocean Sprayhas roots Down Wisconsin, producing juices, canned sauces, sweetened dried cranberries and more in our state.

Vegetable casserole

Iconic casseroles and other vegetable-inspired side dishes also nod to Wisconsin agriculture with brands such as Del Monte. While Del Monte Foods is a notable national brand, it has growers right here in Wisconsin. If green bean casserole or corn casserole is on your menu, you can thank Wisconsin farmers like Hutkowski familyfor the ingredients!

Potatoes

Whether you like them mashed, casseroled, baked or prepared in some other way, potatoes are a staple of any family holiday. You can find High potatoes at many major grocery stores throughout Wisconsin, including Aldi’s, Woodman’s, Piggly Wiggly, Costco and more.

Desserts and drinks
