The Packers can make rivalry history with a victory over the Bears on Sunday

The Green Bay Packers have won 10 straight games against the Chicago Bears and can make history in the NFL’s longest-running rivalry with a victory over the Bears on Sunday at Soldier Field.

According to the team, the Packers’ 10-game winning streak is the longest in the Packers-Bears rivalry and matches a streak engineered by Brett Favre and Mike Holmgren from 1994-1998. With Sunday’s victory, the Packers can become the first team in the franchise to win 11 straight games.

Even if the Packers score 11 straight points on Sunday, NFL history is still a long way off. The NFL record for consecutive wins over a single opponent is 20, set by the Miami Dolphins over the Buffalo Bills in 1970–1980.

Coach Matt LaFleur is 10-0 against the Bears. He began his coaching career in Green Bay with a 10-3 victory over the Bears at Soldier Field on September 5, 2019. The last time the Packers won in this series was a 17-9 victory at Lambeau Field in the regular-season finale last year.

A little betting fact: Not only did the Packers win 10 straight games against the Bears, but they also equalized the point differential in all 10 games.

The Packers’ 10-game winning streak over the Bears is the longest vigorous streak against a single team in the NFL and the longest any team has ever had against the Bears in team history.

Overall, the Packers have won 13 of their last 14 games at Soldier Field (the only loss in 2018) and 25 of their last 30, including a win in the NFC Championship Game in Chicago after the 2010 season.

The Packers’ regular season record against the Bears so far is 106-94-6, including 53-52-2 in Chicago.
