The Wisconsin Badgers had plenty of opportunities to get a win against the top-ranked Oregon Ducks, but they failed to do so in a close loss.
The Badgers started the first half well and seemed to be in a great position to score points against the Ducks. Oregon quarterback and Heisman Trophy hopeful Dillon Gabriel dominated the Ducks’ offense in the second half. However, the Badgers were their own worst enemy in the second half and ultimately lost due to a lack of real offensive momentum.
Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Braedyn Locke had one of his better performances this year, but wasn’t able to do enough to lift the Badgers over the Ducks. The quarterback was without several top players, including C.J. Williams and Will Pauling, which seemed to hurt the passing game. Running back Tawee Walker was the leader of the Badgers offense and had arguably the best game of any Wisconsin player.
It doesn’t feel like that #Badgers they play an out of this world game and tie 13-13 with No. 1 Oregon.
But they’re going to need something special in the fourth quarter.
Dillon Gabriel had already had a moment and now got the ball back with 10:57 left.

Wisconsin really struggled to find momentum in the second half of the game as it looked like a completely different team on the field. Wisconsin played with a lot of energy and excitement in the first half, but the team performed poorly the rest of the game. Although the team looked terrible, they proved that they can be a very sturdy and aggressive team if they are properly motivated on the pitch.
Locke made a complex interception that ultimately put the nail in the coffin of the Wisconsin Badgers’ potential comeback hopes. Wisconsin was able to gain decent field position after stopping a phony field goal by the Oregon Ducks. However, it was all in vain as the quarterback made a complex interception that, honestly, was now entirely his fault.
Wisconsin football shows heart and potential in tough loss
While the Wisconsin Badgers didn’t secure a win or have a perfect performance, it was a pretty solid performance against a team that many thought would crush the Badgers.
The Wisconsin Badgers took the field with full enthusiasm and played strenuous against the Oregon Ducks while the team usually lost in the same position. The defense played incredibly physical in the face of adversity as the Wisconsin Badgers program continues to face questions about this team’s talent. While I still think about the Iowa loss, Wisconsin looked like a much better team against a much more talented team.
Wisconsin couldn’t find any rhythm or momentum on offense in the second half, but still played a memorable game against a much better opponent.
