Scientists examining a cave intricate in Spain recently concluded that Neanderthal hunters probably transformed one of the chambers into the world’s oldest known trophy room.
The title of their research paper sounds more scientific, of course. It reads: “Neanderthal’s symbolic accumulation of large herbivore skulls.”
