After eight games, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s interception streak to start the 2024 season finally ended on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
Love completed 23 passes in a 38-10 win over the 49ers. None of them were intercepted, although the 49ers managed to pick off three passes, and PFF listed Love with two “return-worthy plays.”
That ended Love’s eight-game interception streak, the longest in the NFL this season and the longest since Josh Allen threw an interception in nine straight games during the 2023 season.
Love threw an interception in each of his first eight starts in 2024 and totaled 11 points in the series, including two pick-sixes, but the Packers improved to 5-3 in eight games. Earlier this season, Patrick Mahomes had a 7-game interception streak. Matthew Stafford made it six. Will Levis made it five.
Quarterbacks with a current dynamic interception streak include Drake Maye, Geno Smith, Josh Allen and Andy Dalton, who all have interceptions in four straight games. With six weeks left, all four quarterbacks have a chance to break Love’s longest hitting streak in 2024.
Last year, Love finished the regular season with just one interception in his last eight games, including a three-game, four-game streak without an interception. Will he be able to put another impressive streak of zero interceptions to end the 2024 season?
