On Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers released the team’s first Week 15 injury report. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official game status indications ahead of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Here’s everything you need to know from the Packers’ first Week 15 injury report:
Who didn’t participate?
The only rookie defensive end in Detroit suffered an ankle injury in Javon Bullard. Coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that the team believes Bullard is playing better “week by week,” but it’s clear he’s at risk of missing Sunday night.
Any recent injuries worth knowing about?
Bullard is out with an ankle injury, rookie backup Evan Williams is in the concussion protocol and defensive end Lukas Van Ness suffered a recent thumb injury but was a full participant on Wednesday. Rookie offensive lineman Travis Glover was confined by illness. The Packers managed to emerge from the 12-day, three-game series without any major injuries.
Who are the injured players to watch this week?
Cornerback Jaire Alexander and receiver Romeo Doubs were full participants and were able to return this week (though Doubs is still in the concussion protocol), cornerback Corey Ballentine and linebacker Edgerrrin Cooper returned on a confined basis, and even Williams was able to participate in some capacity despite concussion protocol. Tight end Luke Musgrave was expected to return from injured reserve – but his appearance was confined on Wednesday.
Has anyone been removed from the damage report?
Running back Josh Jacobs, left guard Elgton Jenkins, quarterback John FitzPatrick and linebacker Colby Wooden were removed after appearing in last week’s report.
What to know from the Seahawks injury report?
The Seahawks have replaced an incredible 17 players, although six of them have had rest issues and three others are expected to return from injured reserve. Six of the 17 participants were full participants. Who didn’t exercise on Wednesday? Cornerback Tre Brown, linebacker Ernest Jones IV, receiver Tyler Lockett, linebacker Boye Mafe, tackle Jarran Reed, safety Derrick Reed II, linebacker Lake Tomlinson, running back Kenneth Walker III and linebacker Leonard Williams. Expect many of them to return in some capacity on Thursday. Walker is worth watching — the Seahawks’ top defenseman suffered a calf injury and missed last week’s game.
