After a series of meetings over the past five months, the Legislative Council’s Sandhill Crane Study Committee has approved proposed legislation that would provide some relief to farmers and ensure the opening of a sandhill crane hunting season in Wisconsin.
The commission consisted of a bipartisan group of legislators, farmers, and hunting and non-hunting conservation organizations.
