Former Milwaukee Brewers pitcher with a 3.42 ERA signs with the Chicago White Sox

Prior to the 2023 season, the Brewers acquired Bryse Wilson from the Pittsburgh Pirates in a cash deal. Wilson arrived in Milwaukee with no other minor league options, making him a wild card that will not only see him through the season, but also stay with the team long-term. He managed to work two full seasons with the Brewers, posting a solid 3.42 ERA over 181.1 innings, with most of his appearances coming in a multi-inning reliever role.

In early November, the Brewers filed a waiver for Bryse Wilson. He was not picked up and was removed from the 40-man squad. The move was made as Milwaukee neared the deadline to activate players from the 60-day injured list. Wilson turned out to be an oddball and opted for free agency.

While waiting for medical tests, Ken Rosenthal announced that Bryse Wilson has signed a one-year contract with the Chicago White Sox. This is a $1.05 million contract with the potential for $250,000 in incentive bonuses. The White Sox plan to have Wilson compete for a spot in the starting rotation.
