The Milwaukee Brewers have a knack for taking unseen signings and turning them into successful contributors. During the offseason, they focused specifically on adding left-handed pitchers to their organization. On Thursday, December 19, they signed another contract with the southpaw.

Entering the offseason, the Brewers had Aaron Ashby, DL Hall, Robert Gasser, Bryan Hudson, Jared Koenig and Tyler Jay on their 40-man roster. The fresh members are Nestor Cortes, Connor Thomas and Grant Wolfram. That equates to nine left-handed pitchers on the roster.

This was reported by Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Bruce Zimmerman joined the Brewers on a lower league contract. This deal includes an invitation to huge league camp. In line with the fresh additions theme for left-handed pitchers, Zimmerman will join left-hander Thomas Pannone as the next non-roster invitee.
