Wisconsin basketball stopped bleeding last Saturday after a three-game skid in an 83-74 win in Indianapolis over the Butler Bulldogs. The Badgers may also have benefited from the presence of Wisconsin legend Devin Harris, who was seen in the locker room with Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard and players.

Harris played for Wisconsin basketball in the early 2000s. He wore Badgers colors from the 2001-02 season through the 2003-04 campaign. During his career with the Badgers, he averaged 14.8 points on 44.7% from the field and 37.5% from beyond the arc, 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 96 games – it all started.
Harris, now 41, was acquired by the Washington Wizards in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft, but his rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Harris played in the NBA for 15 years, including an All-Star campaign in 2008-09 with the New Jersey Nets.
Wisconsin basketball got back on track with a win over the Butler Bulldogs
In terms of Butler’s play, the Badgers had sturdy performances from Nolan Winter and Steven Crowl. Winter finished with 20 points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes, and Crowl rebounded from a destitute performance in the previous game with 18 points and six rebounds in just 17 minutes of action.
Wisconsin basketball, which improved to 93 after the win over Butler, is expected to take care of business next Sunday against Detroit Mercy (ranked 317 on KenPom).
