Ironically, as the buck of a lifetime strolled past a Washburn County deer stand on the second day of the nine-day Wisconsin gun season in Minneapolis, Minnesota, resident Cody Chamberlain was reading the book “Undaunted Courage.”
The book is a great read for outdoor enthusiasts as it chronicles the early 19th century Lewis and Clark expedition through the newly acquired western part of the country after the Louisiana Purchase.
“With three kids at home, I don’t have a lot of time to read, so when the hunt is slow, I’ll pull out a book while watching the woods,” Chamberlain said.
