Tribal spearmen from six Wisconsin Chippewa tribes in ceded territory reported a near-record 38,832 walleye during the 2024 extended spring spearing season.
The walleye total was accompanied by a relatively standard muskie catch of 268 fish. These figures are now considered final following the data examination period, which ended on July 15.
