My favorite Coyote rifle is the Remington 700 Varmint Special chambered in .22-250. It is correct and reliable, but it is also long and bulky. And as an instant action, it’s not as practical when a pack of coyotes responds to my calls.
Except for certain uses, it stays in the gun safe and sound when I head out for an interview. Most of the time, my favorite rifle is the AR-15. It also is reliable, adaptable, adjustable, almost rust-proof thanks to its stainless steel barrel, surprisingly correct, semi-automatic, and – when configured carefully – lighter and more compact than the Remington Model 700.
