The Milwaukee Bucks became champions of their second-ever NBA Cup after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 97-81 on Tuesday, and every player was enriched because of it. They were awarded to players with a standard contract at least $500,000 eachwhile two-way players get half of that.
Starting center Brook Lopez was one of those players who earned at least $500,000. The one-time NBA All-Star said in a post-game interview that he was content to be leaving Las Vegas with more money than when he arrived.
“It’s not that bad either.” Lopez said via ClutchPoints’ Tomer Azarly. “It’s rare for people to leave Vegas with an extra $500,000, so we’ll definitely love it.”
“It’s an amazing feeling right now. I’ve been telling the young guys that this is just a little, little, little tease and a taste of what it’s going to be like in June, so I hope they take it all in. We’ll have fun today and see how much work it takes. “I think we are all committed to showing up every day to make this goal a reality in June,” he added.
