Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Iowa County Conservation Warden Mike Burns was somewhat perplexed following a headless deer carcass in Grant County that received a call to the DNR’s anonymous hotline in December 2022.
There was a bullet hole in the carcass. The cape was also removed, probably before the head was severed.
