Gluce Gactekin announced that she will play volleyball for the University of Tennessee in 2025
In her final year of eligibility, Gluce Gectekin decided to continue her volleyball career by playing in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The University of Tennessee finished 2024 with a 15–12 record, which included an 8–8 mark in conference play. Additionally, they lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, losing a five-set match to Georgia Tech.
Gluce Gectekin was very appreciative and appreciative of her time with the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball program
In her Instagram post, Gluce Guctekin wrote, “I am deeply grateful to my family, friends and coaches who have supported me throughout my journey.” She also said, “As I begin this new chapter, I am committed to giving my all both on the field and academically… I can’t wait to work with my new teammates and become a part of the Tennessee family.”
Who could take over Gluce Gectekin’s previous role with the Wisconsin Badgers?
A season ago, Gluce Guctekin played 26 of 33 matches, mostly as a defensive specialist. Her elite on-court performance and serving skills will be lost, and the Badgers will have to turn to up-to-date faces to replace the role she previously held. Lola Schumacher is the favorite to return as libero next year, but other options at the defensive specialist include current freshman Malie Chan and incoming freshman Aniya Warren or Kristen Simon.
