Aniay Warren, named Prepdig’s top libero recruit in 2025, previously decommitted to Indiana and Purdue. In a recent article written by BadgerExtra’s Dennis Punzel (subscription required), Warren stated that over time, changes in programming have forced her to reconsider her choice. Indiana has undergone changes to its coaching staff, while Purdue has had four key players leave through the transfer portal.

Aniya Warren said she felt bitter when she left the team at Indiana and that it was tough for her to tell the players with whom she had built bonds and relationships. In the case of Purdue, Warren said she did not want to go through the process again, but an agreement was reached to release her because after all the transfers, the current team is not what she originally committed to.

After Gluce Guctekin and Saige Damrow entered the transfer portal, gaps suddenly appeared in the Badgers’ once-crowded outfield, leading to Aniya Warren will choose Wisconsin volleyball. He also wants to surround himself with elite talent and play at the highest level. Warren said: “I want to compete at the highest level with competitive people around me, get better and develop. I think it’s exhilarating for us to have a really deep backcourt and so much talent.
