Nearly 50 years ago, Dan Harmon III had a vision to introduce people to the sport of trout fishing.
Harmon, a Trout Unlimited member from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who died last year at age 92, helped the Central Wisconsin Trout Unlimited chapter establish a fly fishing school with mentors showing students the ins and outs of a sport that can seem intimidating and complicated. This school is now named after Harmon and continues to grow. The chapter held its workshop June 1-2 on the Tomorrow River at Riverside Bible Camp near Amherst.
