The Wisconsin Badgers are making three coaching moves. Blake Rolan from Southern Illinois University – assistant wing coach.
Joe Ludwig, Andy Ludwig’s son and former quality control coach at Baylor, as assistant tight ends coach.
Tuf Borland, previously an assistant at Wisconsin, as assistant linebacker coach.
Rolan’s coaching journey before Wisconsin
Rolan was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Southern Illinois in 2018. He was a solid recruiter in Cincinnati, especially in Indianapolis.
He was a former quality control coach for the Tennessee Volunteers. Rolan was Cincinnati’s wingers coach on December 14, 2012.
Ludwig plays football a few days before Iowa
Ludwig played three years of college football at Iowa before transferring to Utah. In 2017, he committed to Iowa as a walk-on.
He played football at Middleton High School. Ludwig played eight games at Iowa and 14 games at fullback and tackle over two seasons at Utah.
Borland plays football at Ohio State
Borland was a three-time captain of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Played in the 2021 Reese Senior Bowl.
He is the son of former Badger defenseman Kyle Borland. Borland, Pete Werner and Baron Browning of the Ohio State Buckeyes were named to the preseason Butkus Award list.
