Wisconsin Badgers Cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean admits he’s been disappointed the last two seasons and promises gigantic things for the team under Luke Fickell

Luke Fickell’s tenure as head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers football team has not been ideal, as the team has failed to qualify for a bowl game this season after 22 straight appearances. His cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean preaches patience.

The Badgers finished the 2024 season (5-7) worse than the previous one (7-6), and it doesn’t support that many players decided to enter the transfer portal amid the program’s struggle to return to the elite.

The team is busy with offseason recruiting, training and more, and Fourqurean assures that they are headed in the right direction.

Recently, the team has undergone three changes in the coaching staff.

They hired Blake Rolan from Southern Illinois University as their recent assistant wing coach, while Joe Ludwig was hired as assistant attacking coach.

Another recent addition is Tuf Borland, who has been named assistant linebacker coach.

The senior defenseman implored fans to trust Fickell, who did so under fire since replacing Paul Chryst in 2023

Fourqurean thinks so heading in the right direction under the tutelage of the former Cincinnati coach.

“Obviously the last two years haven’t gone the way we wanted them to, especially this year,” he said during an interview with Bleacher Brothers while at the Hula Bowl last week.

“But everything is heading in the right direction. I think that’s the biggest thing I want the fans to know, to believe in Coach Fickell and what’s going on there, where the team is going.
