The up-to-date Sheboygan Marsh Dam in Wisconsin offers more tools to control water levels

Members of Ducks Unlimited, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff and members of several Sheboygan County conservation clubs were among more than 100 people who gathered on a clear afternoon May 19 to celebrate the dedication of the up-to-date dam at Sheboygan Marsh.
It was the culmination of a project that was first planned almost a decade ago. Sheboygan Marsh includes over 14,000 acres of wetlands, lowland forests, shrub marshes, moist meadows and prairies. At least 1,700 acres of open water habitat are created by a dam in the northeast corner of the marshes on the Sheboygan River.
