The Milwaukee Bucks picked up their fourth straight win, all of which ended with a double-digit lead. This last win wasn’t a good win though, and head coach Doc Rivers admits that.
The Bucks are now 7-1 in their last eight games after a victory over the visiting Philadelphia 76ers.
The team finished the first quarter with a 31-20 lead, but managed to tie the score in the second and third quarters, which meant it was still a game where everyone counted. The game was uncertain in the fourth quarter, but they still settled for a 33-28 score and a 123-109 victory.
The stars came out for the Bucks to win against a team that was missing its top stars.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored the goal 34 points, collected 15 rebounds and had six assists. Damian Lillard scored 25 points, and Khris Middleton had 13 points and the most assists on the team (8).
Dr. Rivers agrees it’s an ugly victory
There were comments after the game that it was the team’s toughest win in four home games, which Rivers agreed with.
But he doesn’t care much about it. Thinks they had peace maintain the advantage, something he wasn’t sure he saw in the first months of the competition.
“Yes. At the beginning of the year, we could have lost it. Today we will win the match and that’s what we have to do. You have to get wins whenever you can, and we do that,” he told reporters after the match.
The Milwaukee Bucks now begin play in busy second half of January where, after a two-day rest, they will play five matches in seven days.
They will travel to New Orleans to play the Pelicans and then return home the next day to play the Miami Heat.
