The 2024-2025 NBA regular season has been quite an adventure so far for Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks. They started the season very shaky, winning only one of their first seven matches and only three of their first 11 appearances.
But the Bucks have been having a lot of fun on the court lately, with the team rattling off four straight wins, including a 123-109 home victory last Sunday over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Damian Lillard talks about the Milwaukee Bucks during a scorching break
After the game, Lillard, who made history in the same competition by becoming the newest member of the NBA’s 22,000-point club, shared a robust statement about the Bucks in the wake of their success.
“I think we saw when our mind was healthy, when we were focused, disciplined and together we were one of the best teams in the league,” Lillard said in a postgame interview with Milwaukee sideline reporter Melanie Ricks (h/t FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin).

Lillard scored 25 points for the Sixers, shooting 7 of 17 from the field while making four of 11 attempts from beyond the arc. He also dished out four dimes and grabbed five rebounds in 40 minutes.
While there are still questions about the Bucks’ lineup, Milwaukee is still a team to be reckoned with, especially with the superstar 1-2 combo of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The 24-17 Bucks will look to continue that streak next Wednesday when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
