Green Bay Packers will set off with an internal promotion to replace the departing trainer Linebackers Anthony Campanile, who left Green Bay to become a modern defense coordinator Jacksonville Jaguars. For Tom Pelissero from NFL MediaPackers are expecting to promote defensive assistant Sean Duggan-Wielki, a colleague from coach Jeff Haffa-Trener Linebackers.
Tom Silverstein from Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Reported last week This Duggan was a leading candidate who replaced Campanile if he left Packers.
Duggan came from Hafley from Boston College to Green Bay in 2024. Earlier he was a Linebackers (2020-23) coach and coordinator (2023) at Hafley at Boston College, before joining Packer as an assistant last season.
Duggan was also a Linebackers coach in Hawaii (2016-17) and Emrass (2018). Duggan and Hafley also collaborated in Ohio State for one season in 2019.
Duggan played in four seasons and appeared in 45 matches in Linebacker for Boston College. He was the team captain in 2014.
In 2025, Duggan will have the task of continuing the development of the rising Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, 2022 of the first round of Quay Walker and 2024 of the third round of Ty’ron Hopper. Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson are free agents, so Packers may have Linebacker turnover next season.
In addition to coach Linebackers, Campanile was also the coordinator of the game in 2024 and it is now unclear who will take over this role under Hafley in 2025. Duggan and the incoming coach of the Demarcus Covington defense line are options.
