WrightStown – Last year, the Marinette girls basketball team took their first conference title in the history of the program.
On Monday evening, Marines took home at least part of the next crown of the north-eastern conference with the biting nails 52-50 win over Wrightstown.

Marines increased by 10 in one point in the second half, but the tigers roared back to the game to force overtime. In overtime, the tigers had a ball, leaving less than 10 seconds in the game related to winning, but Chloe Seymour on Marinette came the pass and went downstairs to the winning game.
(19-4,15-2) Marinette may get the title of conference on Thursday with winning over Lutheran Fox Valley Lutheran or (18-4,14-3) Freedom Loss to WrightStown.
