Packers sections selected as best suited to the free edge agent Rusher Khalil Mack

Matt Bowen from ESPN chose Green Bay Packers as “Best Fit” for a free agent, the edge of Khalil Mack in his own Review of the 50 best free agents Entering the season 2025.

Last year, Bowen correctly perceived Packers as the best match to the safety of Xavier McKinney at a free agency.

Unlike McKinney and the escaping Josh Jacobs, who both leave the contracts of debutants, and in the first half of the 1920s, when Packers signed their last spring, Mack is an older, more experienced free agent. On February 22, he will end on February 34 and enter his 12th NFL season in 2025.

But Mack is only a year removed from the 17-story season in 2023 and leaves the 2024 season, in which he produced 52 pressure and one of the best general classes among the edges of Rushers in Pro Football Focus, despite playing in a smaller number of snaps (668 inches (668 inches 668 in Cal 2024, down from over 900 in 2023).

Packers must squeeze the application after the disappointing season disturbing the quarterback in 2024, and the Mack-Dziemnieścło-Drift Professional Melmonic-is as close to a certain thing as every team will find in a free agency.

From Bowen:

Packers adding a mack to evaporation with Rashan Gary would escalate the pass from the edge. Mack had six bags and 41 pressure in 2024 from Chargers. And although he turns 34 this week, it is still three times with a constant speed of the game to heat the pocket.

Mack is a general free agent Bowen in 2025.

Mack played four seasons with Raiders, four seasons from Chicago Bears and three seasons with Los Angeles Chargers. He produced 107.5 bags, 142 fights for loss and 185 hits playmaker in 167 career games.

According to PFF, Mack has created at least 50 pressure in all NFL seasons. Over the past three years in Los Angeles has obtained on average over 66 pressure.

In many ways, Packers signing Macka in 2025 reflect the team adding Julius Peppers in 2014. Both were the best types in the back of their decorated careers, but they both turned out to be highly productive players at the age of 30. Peppers remained a breakthrough and consistent edge for three years in Green Bay, helping Packers to advance to two title NFC games as a starter in Outside Linebacker in 3-4.

This season, Packers have few free agents to sign re -signing, a vigorous salary situation and a window to compete for titles with a newborn, economical composition. Expect Brian Gutekunst to make another splash in a free agency. The addition of Mack to the improvement of the newborn defense of Jeff Haffa can lend a hand Packers go from good to great in 2025.
