The Wisconsin football staff received great news tardy last night after the top running back announced his top three schools.
Mason’s Positions, the top-ranked recruit in the 2025 class in the state of New Mexico, announced his top three programs. Posa currently has 21 scholarship offers and will announce its top three schools shortly after booking all of its official visits. Wisconsin football is in a great position to go into the match against Posa, and the first step will be to make an impression on the upcoming official visit.
Wisconsin football one step closer to top running back Recruiting Mason Posy after program cuts
Earlier in the evening, New Mexico’s top-ranked linebacker and four-star recruit in the 2025 recruiting class announced his final three schools. Mason Posa, a physically imposing linebacker, has announced his commitment to Wisconsin football Oregon, Texas A&M as his last three shows. Posa has scheduled official visits for each program as well Arizona AND State of Oklahoma.
Posa will first visit Wisconsin next weekend and then visit Oregon on June 7. The linebacker will then visit the Aggies on June 14 before likely making his final decision. In April, Posa already made two official visits to Arizona and Oklahoma State.

If there’s one thing that fascinates Wisconsin football, especially on defense, it’s its physicality. The Badgers love to play physical football and recruit their defense by finding players who love to play tough, powerful football.
In Posy, the Badgers found their guy because the physical threat of a defenseman loves to play challenging. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches, Posa has a huge frame and doesn’t allow pursuers to get past him. This gigantic attacking machine proved to be both a leader on the pitch and an excellent defender.

For the Wisconsin football staff, landing Mason Posa would be a huge recruiting win due to his ranking and skill set. Posa is an extremely talented center back who plays with a lot of tenacity, and the Badgers love to play the style of football that Posa plays well. Wisconsin will need to make a good impression this weekend during its official visit to Madison to land Posa as a Badger.
