Preliminary catch data for Wisconsin’s six Chippewa tribes shows that 35,203 walleye have been harvested so far in Wisconsin’s ceded territory.
A relatively sluggish start to the season a few weeks ago has resulted in a significant boost in activity over the past two weeks, with almost half of the more than 35,000 fish caught in 14 days.
