After many conversations, the talented three -star defensive liner Carmelow Reed announced that a visit to Wisconsin was planned.

However, shortly after the end of the visit, Reed realized that he had much more to think about the involvement of his recruitment and the final decision about commitment. Reed said that the visit was “great” and felt the “family” environment during staff and players.

The talented defender has so far gathered 16 scholarships in the recruitment process, and programs such as LSU, Missouri and Mississippi expand offers just before the commitment. Reed received a second scholarship from Wisconsin football staff, and its first extended offer comes from Bowling Green.

Wisconsin football staff worked demanding for every commitment, but Reed’s commitment was particularly crucial for staff because of his talent and location.

Badgeries achieved a recent success in both Illinois and Indians and continued to dive deep in every state to find the needed talent.

How will Carmelow Reed affect Wisconsin’s football defense after arrival?

For both Reed’s and Wisconsin football staff, causing chaos in defense will be the name of the game.

Reed is a elevated, long rusher, which stands at 6 feet-7 inches high and almost 260 pounds with lots of time to add to the already huge frame. Reed stands out physically on the pitch and the same can be said about its vigorous style of playing on the football field.

A talented and versatile defender is technically considered a defender in the recruitment class in 2026, but he has the opportunity to move. Reed can also fall into coverage or fulfill the duties of a coverage of coverage if necessary due to significant speed. The rapid Reed switch also allows a talented defender to react immediately to the incoming game on the rear field.

Perhaps the biggest reinforcement that Reed will provide to the Wisconsin football team with just outside the gate is strength. Reed is a powerful player who can move the larger liner off the road despite the clear weight difference sometimes on the pitch. The raw power of Reed is something that can become a great tool at the next level with proper development and coaching.
