More landowners interested in land management for wild nature will be able to receive additional facilitate from the Wisconsin (DNR) Department of Natural Resources, but in exchange for fresh fees and fresh reporting requirements.
The Council for Natural Resources (NRB) approved fresh rules for the Jeleen Management Assistance Program (DMAP), which was established in 2014. The rule now goes to the governor of Tony Evers for approval, and the legislation to review before entering into force in 2025 or 2026.
