Wisconsin Football Makes Final Four Schools for Massive Defensive Lineman in 2025

The Wisconsin football staff received positive news regarding one of Minnesota’s top recruits for the 2025 class.

Abu Tarawallie, a three-star 2025 defensive lineman from Minnesota, is currently the No. 2 overall prospect in his home state. The Wisconsin football team has liked everything they’ve seen from Tarawallie so far, both on and off the field. The powerful defensive lineman recently narrowed his recruiting list to four schools and left the Badgers among the programs still in the mix.

In a surprise announcement ahead of official visits, Minnesota’s second-ranked recruit announced his top four programs. Abu Tarawallie, a three-star defensive lineman, currently has eight scholarship offers despite being the top recruit in the state. Tarawallie has been an under-the-radar player in the 2025 class so far and hasn’t received the attention from major programs that he truly deserved.

Tarawallie announced Kansas State, State of Michigan, Minnesotaand Wisconsin football as his four most vital programs. The linebacker also had offers from State of Iowa, Kansas, OklahomaAND Penn State also, but he only showed interest in the Cyclones.

For Wisconsin football, Tarawallie could add the physicality and size needed

While Tarawallie hasn’t received a ton of attention from major league programs, he certainly has the size and skill to succeed at the next level. The defensive lineman stands 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 275 pounds, and his power moves on the field are really forceful. Tarawallie loves to play physical football, which is why position coach EJ Whitlow and defensive coordinator Mike Tressel prioritized defensive lineman.

Tarawallie plays an vital role for the Badgers, and despite the huge number of bodies on the roster, the Wisconsin football staff has yet to roll out another forceful lineman. Tarawallie could be a grave quarterback for the Badgers in the future given the way he plays the football. The defensive lineman isn’t going to drop back or change pass rushers until one works.

The three-star guard loves to get through the offensive line, causing chaos behind the offensive line.

Can the Wisconsin Badgers football team land in Tarawallie over Minnesota, Michigan?

Wisconsin currently faces Michigan, Minnesota and Kansas, all of whom have solid personnel ties to Tarawallie. The Badgers staff won’t have an uncomplicated time contacting the linebacker given other teams’ involvement, but he will have his chance during his upcoming official visit.

The Wisconsin football staff has arrangements for an official visit from Tarawallie on June 21. The defensive lineman will first visit Michigan State and then stop in Minnesota for another official visit before arriving in Madison. Wisconsin will need to make a good visit to catch up on Tarawalli’s recruitment, as the defensive lineman has seven visits under his belt for the Golden Gophers.
